How do you quote?
Send drawings, files, or a description. I reply within 2 business days with questions or a fixed price and a delivery date. For larger or fuzzy scopes I start with a paid discovery session, then quote the project from what we learn.
What does a fixed bid include?
The deliverables listed in the quote, one round of revisions, and a short handoff note. Anything outside the list is quoted separately before I do it. No surprise invoices.
Who owns the CAD and drawings?
You do, once the invoice is paid. You get native files (Inventor or SolidWorks), STEP, PDF drawings, and DXF flat patterns where they apply. I keep a copy for my records and do not reuse your geometry for anyone else.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. Send yours, or I can send a simple mutual NDA. I am used to working under them from both product and defense-adjacent work.
Payment terms
Projects under $2,500 are due on delivery. Larger projects are 50% to start and 50% on delivery. Retainers are billed monthly in advance. Card, ACH, or check.
Typical lead times
Drawing and DFM reviews: about a week. Fixture or part design: two to four weeks depending on scope. Inspection and FAI: usually within a week of receiving parts. Fabricated parts depend on the shop; I give you a date when I quote.
Do you build parts yourself?
I 3D print prototypes in-house. Machining, laser cutting, forming, and finishing go to local shops I know, and I manage the job and check the parts. I tell you who is making your parts.
What if it does not work?
If a design I delivered does not meet the requirements we agreed on, I fix it at no charge. If the requirements change, we talk before I start.
Are you insured?

How do you handle files?
Files live in a private cloud folder per client. Nothing is posted publicly without your written OK. Case studies only go on this site with permission, and sensitive details stay out.
